Religare Finvest......embrace me !!!

Got a little late in breaking the news on this platform that after close to 4 years of companionship with Tata Motors Finance Ltd I chose to part wasy for want of bigger & better sky to spread my wings.

Bigger certainly means bigger role at work with fatter pay cheque (I have never been one to mince words or being modest). But the better sky cannot be explained in words. Only I and a few close associates at tata can understand this. Must say that Tata treated me fairly well and brought me to a platform from where I can spring-board to a better future.

So I Joined Religare Finvest ltd as Head - Fraud control Unit. Right from the go the "bigger" aspect was well taken care off (that was the point of discussion during offer talks) but after working for around 50 days I can safely vouch that I 've been placed at a better place too.

The life is very professional here with a lot of scope to think and implement with not much of an ado. The colleagues are professional to the core with there core - competencies / required skill sets being of the highest level. That really gives you a platform to grow fast. The office timings are the best in the Industry and gives you ample time to be with the family (to an extent that family starts cribbing). The office premise is state of the art (one of my dreams to work in such premises has come true)and the facilities to employee are five star.

Start of the assignment or the approach to the runway before I take a flight to success has been fantastic and I've been accepted and recognized well within. I'm HAPPY to say the least and that what matters the most.

Atlast I've got a ship of my own and I'm right now either strengthening the old crew or recruiting new ones before I set on sail. I just want Religare to embrace me the way I'm trying to so that the association is far fetcehd and enriching.

The only prayer I say to god at this point of time is to keep me humble and approachable in my stint as I've seen many (almost all) in the past who swell so much with pride and ego that they fail to recognise the human being and there effort.

Kushal Graduated to Std 1

Hi Folks!!

The latest update is that Kushal completed his KG class with flying colours....Literally flying as there was always a complain from his teachers that he just do not sit in the class whole through the year.

Teachers ended the year with lots of wishes for Kushal and one complain on there lips that he just don't focus.

Now how the hell we're responsible for it. He does not even sit at home too.....did we ever complain to you madam???

Reena maaaaaam (as kushal will call her) will always start the conversation with how good Kushal is and praise him to be the best in class but close the meeting with "baithta nahi hai class main"......

Kushal these days is a little confused with what will happen in Class-1 .... no.. no... not about studies but about the kind of teacher he is going to get and how will she treat him.... he is happy too that a few of his old -accomplices will be together in one section.

Without being modest and touching the line of bragging, I can say that Kushal grasps thing well and very easily but the concentration span is not more than 5-10 min.

It is upto you to start and close the subject in that time as he will surely move on.
Love the way he is taking his own world by storm and giving no time to people to react.

As long as he is well behaved and treats other with respect all his whirlwind acts are "sir ankhon per". I love the way he takes care of his mommy dear.....ab aayee sherni kabze main

I AM BACK......

Its been 14 months since I've written on this platform. It had to do more with the mind set than anything else. I was not keen to write though came across a lot many experiences worth sharing with the forum.
Right now I'm in a meeting and suddenly the thought swept across and here I'm trying to re-initiate the broken chain.
I had decided to dedicate this place to Kushu and will selfishly accumalate all the smaller incidents with him to cherish at a much later date. The same got discontinued and must confess that I'm ruing the time lost.
But It would be a continuous affair from now on. Recent news is that in the last 14 months he has been branded as a HANUMAN in his school and all such roles go to him automatically.
I was fortunate to watch a play of his and was amazed to understand that he had learnt by heart the dialogues of all the participants and was anchoring the show right at the stage.
He is growing into a very sharp but highly impatient boy and his energy needs to be channelised soon.
Mommy dear and me are a worried lot these days as he is picking up the famous Delhi-slang too. But it is also very cute to listen those words from his uninhibited / unclustered mind.
My father must be smiling and resting in peace after wathcing his mathematics skill. But Hindi is a big worry.
Just enjoying parenthood to the maximum......

Kushuz first active Deewali.....Quiet a Handfull

Hi Folks !!

I'm back. I know all my friends will excuse me for the delay in Diwali reporting on Kushu because they know how active I've always been in my entire life.

Chalo...without wasting any more time let me tell you all that this was the first time Kushu was keen on celebrating Diwali big time with crackers.

To start with I took it as just one of the exuberance from his side on every new thing he comes across and took it all wrong by under-estiamting his penchant for crackers.

As Deepawali grew closer his intensity rose exponentially and finally on the eve of Diwali he almost dragged me to a shop filled with crackers and came out all triumphant with his bags which cost me good fortune(I know I'm developing into a money-minded father. This also gave me an idea on inflation.

Still I was warry if he would actually play all of them and was a little worry too that at the end of the day he would ask me to do it for him as I just do not enjoi playing crackers since last so many years.

But Boy !! I was totally wrong!!!!

Diwali-evening, his energy was matchless and it was to be seen to be believed. We had quiet a difficult time holding on to him so that he doesn't get hurt.

His favorite was ROCKET - BOMB. One of our neighbour designed and showed him the use of agarbattis. He adapted it quiet well and then off he went. He was quiet keen on Anars, Charkhis and torches and mercifully stayed away from those dreaded bombs which I believe will get added in his list the next year....I must get ready from now onwards.

The entire evening was quiet a stressful for us keeping pace with him but as soon as I got relieved that the stock is over; here comes his devil Uncle - Tinku with loads of Patakas. The first thing Kushu said to him was.... "Thank u Chachu - I love u"..

Finally he slept around 1am at night with his boots on. The last update on the stock is that its not over and he is planning to play with them on New Year's eve as taught by his sweet mommy.

Although very demanding but the evening brought all the fond memories of my childhood when I used to be a die-hard fan of crackers.

Thanks a ton Kushal for bringing to the fore my childhood memories which were lost somewhere in the time-warp.....Keep rocking!!

RAMA LEELA......KUSHU BANE HANUMAN

Continuing from the old post on Janmasthami here is another insight into the acting aspect of Kushuz life.

I personally had dropped the idea of preparing him for a character out of Ramayana as it had no real meaning for me. But mommy dear and Kushu had other plans.

Yesterday while I was at office they secretively went to that dress wala store (I'll bomb him soon or report to ITO) once again to buy stuff. Later on I was told that Kushuz first choice was Hanuman with an option of trying out Ravana if Hanuman doesn't materealize. He simply discarded Rama - the God even after a lot of persuassion from mommy (every mom wants his son to be Rama).

How considerate of him to understand that for a rama leela to happen there are other characters also which are equally important.......But Ravana as a first choice!!!!

How can u take that a Hindu boy opting for Ravana. Good that no senior citizen was accompanying them otherwise we would have been blamed for inculcating wrong culture in this "Mitti ka Madho".

As soon as I reached home a hurriedly called dress rehersal happened where in he showed lot of passion and zeal to get dressed. He was interested in the tail and actuall did a zig to show off the tail.

All of a sudden he chanted "JAI SHREE RAM" at the top of his voice. I was amused !

In the morning he spent good time getting ready and once his makeup was done he was looking like a "chotu hanuman". I'm told just now that this time there were no dress-malfunction and inspite of having a little bit of itching here and there he played his part full time.

He has made both of us live our childhood once again. We are simply enjoying it!!!

After Krishna & Hanuman only God knows what next.....but Ravana as a first choice!!!!!

1 to 100

Folks !!

It is official now that kushu baby can count from 1 to 100 all by himself. There is a small issue though....his fingures just could not keep count of the nos and 1 to 100 is a long walk hence he looses interst atleast 3-4 times in between.

All his study material starts at 11 pm night once he is in his sleeping pyjamas. At that time of the night we two - Mohita and me - are all done for the day but this monster wants to study.

Now you can imagine our travails as theoritically you can't say no to a child who wants to study. I know he is playing with us.

BTW he has also learnt to start the laptop all by himself then go to Start > Program > games > Pinball. He is good at this game. Yesterday I saw him trying to logon to "onlinegames.com". I believe he has developed signs for all these activities.

He is amazing us - simpletons - everyday.

Janmasthami....the way it was never before!!

Since my childhood days the only eagerness about Janmashthami was the holiday it use to bring in from the daily routine. But this year I got into the festivities courtsey Kushu.

In his school the day was to celebrated in true gokul style and he was the chosen one to play the role of "Krishna" - The boy. I do not see any capabilities other than his shape and size to actually bag the role. He always choose to be at a distance with girls.....now what kind of a Krishna he will be.

I'm really worried as I have high hopes from him on this front atleast. I'm ready to provide all the infrastructure but at the end of the day (yes I prefer nights) he has to woo them.

Chalo not to get worried about future as I've seen a lot many people changing there life style at a later date. I can only hope.....

To come back to the present.....we (read my wifey) did all the shopping to get him into the role of Krishna. There is one stop shop which makes millions due to these kind of dictats thrown in by these schools....I'm sure the schools are also sharing a cut from the shop. He has a monoplistic advantage.

But all my pains of loosing a few hundred bucks vanished when I saw Kush in that attire of Krishna. He was looking too adorable to be discribed. The dress rehearsals the night before went fine and well participated by mommy, dad and the participant himself.

Next morning I was surprised to see the pain he took to get himself ready for the occasion. The kind of detailings he was interested in made me wonder if we are going to be a star-parents soon. It was seen to be believed the amount of effort and time he spent in getting ready.

AND MASHALLAH WHAT A FINAL PRODUCT CAME OUT FOR US TO BE SEEN!!

I changed my program for the day to drop him to school (earlier mommy dear was suppose to). Till date since his birth he was never so quiet in the car perhaps may be taking care of his makeup and accessories. I'm telling you all we might be on the verge of becoming star parents.

Later that day I came to know that a little dress malfunction almost ruined his day when the dhoti he was wearing got torned off from the back when he tried to sit on the floor.....

Now size doesn't help you always!! Next time I need to bring in branded attires only.

This janmashthami we enjoyed the festivities for the first time.....more importantly he got himself soaked in every minute of the day.
